Ace drag-flicker Harmanpreet Singh is set to captain the Indian men's hockey team during the FIH Pro League matches in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela, crucial fixtures for the team's preparation for the Paris Olympics. The 24-member squad, announced by Hockey India on Thursday, includes midfielder Hardik Singh as the deputy captain.

The Bhubaneswar leg of the tournament is scheduled from February 10 to February 16, while the Rourkela leg will take place from February 19 to February 25. India is slated to play against Ireland, the Netherlands, Spain, and Australia twice each during these legs. PR Sreejesh and Krishan Bahadur Pathak will guard the Indian goal post, while the defensive line-up comprises players like Harmanpreet Singh, Amit Rohidas, and Varun Kumar.
